This chart adds a whole new perspective to the recent "Occupy" movement. Many of those activists felt so strongly that they were being treated unfairly by the top 1%, while actually being part of the top 10% of richest people in the world (assuming that they had access to food, water, tents... and the Internet).
Let's try another experiment:
Take a look around at your close friends, and name those who are honestly, really happy people. Are they significantly richer than you? Probably not. The hard truth is that being richer isn't going to make you happier, but sometimes, it's just easier to think that it might.
Please, lets stop chasing money. Start helping the poor.
